The patriarch of the Ottoman Dynasty, Şehzade (Prince) Osman Bayezid Osmanoğlu just passed away in New York at the age of 92. May God’s mercy be upon him, and may he rest in nur (light) in heaven. We as the Ottoman Imperial Archives team wish the members of the Osmanoğlu family our deepest condolences. Şehzade Beyazid was the 44th Head of the Imperial House of Osman. He was the first member of the House of Osman to be born in exile would have been Sultan Bayezid III had the Ottoman dynasty continued.
